After 10 years of Service

- After 10 years of service in the RCMP a Police Officer I would hope for the following:

- I would hope to have been promoted from the position of Constable to a Corporal.

- I would hope to have chosen a police career path; K-9 division, crime investigations, drug squad, etc.

- A Corporal would be in charge of a Division or a group of Constables and act as their manager.

- A Corporals salary would be between $72,000.00 and $77,000.00 plus a 10 year pension and benefits.

- A 10 year police officer would hopefully be well established in a community and would not have to move from city to city.

- I would then be working towards being promoted to the next level of Sergeant.
